HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT.
Safe functionality together with operating cost savings are guaranteed by a fully automated monitoring system. Digital ice and snow indicator with one or two combined humidity and temperature sensors detect ice buildups and snowfall at an early stage, and prevent snow from settling and ice buildups by turning on the heating in a timely manner.
SAVE ON OPERATING COSTS.
The sensor determines the current temperature and the incipient snowfall. In order for the heating system to switch on, the temperature must be lower than the set value, while the humidity level must also be above its own set value. Compared to thermostat controlled units (which only take temperature, not humidity into consideration), energy savings can reach as high as 70%.
On the basis of an open-air heating system on a 50m² surface, a fully automated control system will pay for itself in the shortest possible time when compared to a temperature-controlled control system. The sensor determines the current temperature and the incipient snowfall.
IT'S WORTH YOUR WHILE.
Installed capacity:
15 m² x 300 W / m² = 4.5kW
Costs 1 kWh:
approx. EUR 0.20 (EUR 0.20 x 4.5 kW) = EUR 0.9 Operating costs / h
Operating hours of the region, for example:
400 h (400 h x EUR 0.9) = EUR 360.- Operating costs per season
A winter service would charge about EUR 551, - per season for this work (costs EUR
0.35 / m2, snow removal on 105 days), without being able to guarantee the security
24 h and with the risk of permanently damaging the building substance with salt.
